Green Drinks is a monthly informal get together for people in Huddersfield & the Valleys working on environmental issues (paid or voluntary). Green Drinks is an international network (www.greendrinks.org) that encourages informal networking. Open to businesses, green groups, academics, students, public sector employees, councillors, we will help to make you feel welcome whatever your role or environmental interests. Meetings will be on the second Tuesday of the month at The Media Centre’s Cafe Ollo. Join us from 17.30 for informal networking and refreshments. At about 18.15 we’ll have a local speaker working on the environment to make a 15-minute presentation followed by up to 15-minutes Q&A.

At this launch event we'll explore the theme: what’s the future for renewables? Clean energy is now part of the recently announced industrial strategy, but does that herald new opportunities for on-shore renewables? Gideon Richards (CWP Ltd, Huddersfield) will introduce the theme.
