An exhibition from The Millinery Studio

This autumn, The Media Centre is proud to present a vibrant new exhibition from the community millinery and textile class ran by The Millinery Studio at Radiant Works, Huddersfield.

Meeting regularly to learn, experiment, and create, the group brings together makers of all levels who share a passion for textiles, design, and craftsmanship.

For this special showcase, the class have worked collectively to decide on a unifying theme, giving space for each participant’s unique style to shine while highlighting the creativity that emerges from collaboration. Expect to see an inspiring mix of textures, colours, and forms—ranging from finely crafted millinery to expressive textile pieces—each one shaped by the imagination and hands of the makers.

This exhibition celebrates the joy of making, the sharing of skills, and the strength of community art practice. Visitors are invited to experience the results of this ongoing creative journey and discover how traditional craft techniques can be reimagined in fresh and contemporary ways.
