The Media Centre is pleased to showcase the work of local artist Alex Ashbee, presenting a collection of 2D mixed media works on paper that explore fantastical world-building and the power of imagination.

Alex’s work invites visitors to step ‘behind the veil’ and into immersive imagined realms, where flora and fauna, celestial beings and magical symbolism combine to create captivating visual worlds. Through layers of colour, pattern and intricate detail, each piece offers an opportunity to pause, explore and discover new elements within the artwork.

This exhibition provides a space for escapism, encouraging visitors to leave the everyday behind and become immersed in a world where imagination has no limits.
