The Media Centre is pleased to host Beyond Realms, a new exhibition by local artist Alex Ashbee, presenting a collection of 2D mixed media works on paper that explore fantastical world-building and the power of imagination.

Alex’s work invites visitors to step ‘behind the veil’ and into immersive imagined realms, where flora and fauna, celestial beings and magical symbolism combine to create captivating visual worlds.

Folklore, myth and legend, nature, symbolism and spirituality are all major sources of inspiration, with the work weaving patterns, colour and fragments of narrative together into layered compositions. Each piece acts as a portal into the imagination, offering the viewer an opportunity to pause, explore and discover new elements within the artwork.

Viewing is FREE and open to all
